Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

I took my first test of the semester on Monday. It was in Spanish. I think I did ok on my test, but I couldn't for the life of me remember the word for marriage. I looked it up when I got to my car and it is matrimonio. I felt sheepish!:)
I also found out this past weekend that my lease at my house isn't up til the end of March and not the end of February as I had previously thought. I am not quite sure how I feel about this. I am excited to be able to spend more time with roommates, but I was really looking forward to saving money and dropping of the face of the Earth for a while. I am at the point in my life (again) where I am tired of being social. I just am not in the mood to plan anything. I don't know why. I just don't wanna do it. Maybe it is because I am so tired of trauma involving boys. I still love hangin with the gals, and I don't mind planning things with us, I just don't wanna invite the very smart and intelligent boys:) Don't worry though. This will only last a few weeks until I find the new "hottie of the month" but until then, don't expect lots of fun parties involving the completely equal in every way gender.
I bought three new pairs of shoes yesterday. Now, I know that I of all people don't need new shoes, but they were really good deals! I got a pair of brown moccasiny shoes, some black pointy toed heals, and a pair of Sketchers all for $32! How could I turn that down?

Cindy Lauper. Yay! I get two candy bars. I want a butterfinger crisp for my second. I bought one the other day, and alas, it disapeared.

can i just say that song is a favorite of mine, as well as the title of a simply fabulous 80's movie that should be watched soon.

As for the shoe purchasing, honey don't worry, I also bought shoes this weekend, only 3 pair, and i probably need them just about as much as you, cause really who needs a pair of bright pink sequined shoes and a pair green sequined shoes when she already has a pair of gold ones and a pair of white ones? Um that would be me.

McSomethingkins, did you not see that the person before you already got the right answer? No candy bar for you! And why am I insane?
The had a ton of sequined ones also, but alas, I don't think I would be bold enough to wear them.

Shoot. I guess I have selective reading skills. But you still owe me one from before, and unlike everyone else, I actually expect payment.

Right...so you call everyone silly for no reason and a person can't call you insane for the same? I was probably refering to the shoes though. They'll weigh you down in the life raft my friend.

You're only saying that because your feet are too big to fit into my shoes:) If you could wear them, you would be perfectly content to let me spend lots of money on them.

That's simply not true. I like shoes, but really I only like having one pair of those I need, because I hate all the space they take up. I also think pointy shoes are the devil's tools. Unless you want to kick someone wearing them, I don't see a reason to wear them. And we all know I'm too kind a person to go around kicking people with pointy shoes.

Honestly I am sick of feminine hypocrisy when it comes to sexist comments. A guy would never get away with calling girls the "lesser gender." Girls would call him a sexist pig and shoot him withering glares. So why in the world do girls decide that they get to make such glib comments? Seriously, it's like making a racist joke and then pretending it's all in good fun. Don't hate all of us because some guy doesn't do what you want. Honestly, I thought we grew out of that. Clark concurs.

In fact, Clark concurs so much that I decided to work up the energy and leave comment. Just like you are tired of boys, I am tired of the source of someone’s fatigue. So in response to the degrading comment about boys and the irresistible shoes, I have my own comment to make. What is it with girls constantly buying new shoes just because they are on sale? They will buy anything that is on sale. "On sale" only saves you money if you had to buy it in the first place. How could you turn it down? Keep you credit card in you pocket! The real title of your blog should be "girls just wanna buy shoes." So though this comment does sound hurtful, I don't mean the majority of these things. I am pretty much the most defensive person I know. I really just want to be invited to a party again.

Someone sent me an email the other day that said men will spend $20 on a $10 item they need; women will spend $10 on a $20 item they don't need:) So true!

Simmer down boys! I am sorry I said that. I will print a retraction. I was just feeling angry and bitter! I am very well aware that there is a double standard when it comes to these things, and I take advantage of that. Girls can get away with saying a lot more than men can. That is just how it is. I can't change society!
And, I needed new shoes. I have already worn all three pairs, and I will continue to wear them!

"All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others." What are you boys complaining about? Geez louise. At least you don't have a period. :) I think that alone gives us the right to have a double standard. hee hee. I want new shoes.

I've never used the phrase, "lesser gender." That said, girls always want to buy things, but the price says no. When it's on sale, it says yes. It's not that it's unnecessary, it's simply not necessary. I hope that clears things up. And dude, why does Paige have 16 comments already? I'll invite you to parties Clark when you start leaving comments on my blog.
